The Seymour girls swimming and diving team won all 12 events, while the boys team took first in 11 of 12 events in recording season-opening wins Tuesday at Madison.

The girls won 135-35, and the boys won 121-41.

Nastya Yakovlyeva won two individual events, leading Seymour sweeps of the 200-yard freestyle in 2:12.19 and 500-yard freestyle in 6:06.14.

Also taking two individual wins were Katie Turner in the 50-yard freestyle (26.83) and 100-yard freestyle (57.0), and Sarah Montgomery in the 100-yard butterfly (1:07.09) and 100-yard backstroke (1:11.52). Seymour took the top three spots in the backstroke.

Other individual event winners were Kenzie Persinger in the 200-yard individual medley (2:29.57), Mary Kate Pritchett in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:15.44) and Joey Cole in diving (133.20).

The Seymour girls also won all three relays, including going 1-2 in the 200-yard medley relay and 1-2-3 in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

In the boys meet, Noah Bullard captured first in the 100-yard butterfly in 58.93 and 100-yard breaststroke in 1:05.07, and Skyler Cash was the other double winner, taking first in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:02.28 and 500-yard freestyle in 5:28.67.

Levi Pfaffenberger led a sweep in the 100-yard freestyle, winning in 55.57, and Caleb O’Brien was first in the Owls’ sweep of the 100-yard backstroke, posting a 1:05.74.

Also winning individual events were Daniel Hartman in the 200-yard individual medley (2:14.99) and Devin Ramsey in diving (222.90).

The Seymour boys also won all three relays, including a 1-2-3 showing in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
