Earl Claude Ault Jr., 46, of Medora, died unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Aug. 31, 1969, in Salem, he was the son of Earl Claude Ault Sr., who preceded him in death, and Janice Cope Ault Alderidge, who survives. On Oct. 18, 2010, in Seymour, he married Tammie Schafstall, who survives.

Earl was a very hard worker and took care of his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a logger.

Other survivors include his children, Heidi Lynn LePage of Brownstown, Brianna Hope Ault of Brownstown, Tevis Deaton of Medora, and Briar and Branson Ault of Medora; his grandchildren, Louis, Daulton and Gracelynn; brothers, David Ault of Salem, Donny Ault of Scottsburg, Mike Ault of Brownstown and Terry Ault of Bedford; and sisters, Mary Griffin of Rising Sun, Rhonda Lipperd of Madison and Pam Kirby of Scottsburg.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Ault; and a nephew, Justin Ault.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home in Vallonia, with Pastor Craig Mulbach officiating. Burial will be at Wheeler Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
