Circle K purchases Fast Max stores

The number of Circle K stores in Jackson County will grow from six to eight with the company’s purchase of Seymour-based Fast Max stores.

The sale of the 14 stores, including one in the city and one in Brownstown, was announced Wednesday by Andrea Myers, president of Kocolene Development Corp. Fast Max Convenience Stores was a division of the corporation before the sale.

Myers is the great-granddaughter of company founder Carrie Myers and the daughter of the corporation’s chief executive officer, Gary Myers.
