Owls pick up win

MADISON

The Seymour girls soccer team dominated Madison 5-0 on Monday in a Hoosier Hills Conference matchup.

Marie Lenart notched two goals off assists from Kayla Griffin and Elizabeth Davis for the Owls.

The Owls’ Andrea Ferrer scored off an assist from Katie O’Mara and Skyla Bowling was unassisted on her goal.

In goal, Rachel Collett collected five saves and Abi Beed had three stops.

The Owls (6-7-4, 3-2-1 HHC) travel to Columbus East on Thursday.

Trinity downs Twisters

OLDENBURG

The Trinty Lutheran volleyball team made quick work of Oldenburg Academy in a 25-12, 25-10, 25-13 win Monday.

Anne Franke was 12 for 14 and Hailley Peters made eight hits on nine attempts with four kills to lead the Cougars’ attack.

Serving, Whitney Rogers had a strong day going 23 of 24 with three aces, Hayley Carter was 18 of 19 with four aces and Haylee Barker made all 11 serves with two aces.

The Cougars (13-7) will host Lanesville today.
