Rebecca Lynn Luttrell, 59, of Vallonia died at 9:07 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at her home after an illness of eight months.

Born Nov. 24, 1955, at Elwood, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Rosetta Jackson Green, both of whom preceded her in death. On Nov. 18, 1978, at Elwood, she married James W. Luttrell, who survives in Vallonia. She had lived in Jackson County since Oct. 20, 1984.

She was a member of Vallonia Christian Church, where she had been active in the Christian Companions women’s group. She was a clerk at Vallonia State Tree Nursery.

Becky loved fishing, quilting, nature, going to auctions and antiquing, playing Bingo and cards, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Other survivors include a daughter, Amanda Darlene (Brandon) Peters of Vallonia; two grandchildren, Holden James Patrick and Abigail Lynn Tovey, both of Vallonia; two brothers, Dennis and David Green, both of Elwood; two sisters, Wanda Ullam of Huntington and Brenda Blanton of Elwood; a sister-in-law, Tammy Green of Elwood; and 17 nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Roe; a sister, Cathy Green; a brother, Michael Green; and a nephew, Danny Ullam.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home with Chris Criminger officiating.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Vallonia Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
