Greg Allen Scott, 55, of Yadkinville, North Carolina, died at 5:55 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Born Sept. 1, 1959, in Erie, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Phyllis Paige Shelton Scott Kirby of Winston-Salem and Harold E. Scott, who preceded him in death.

Greg worked in the tool and die department of Cook Medical Inc. in Winston-Salem. He was well liked there. He formerly was a truck driver for Rose Acre Farms, where he was once named driver of the year. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, swimming and hiking. He played guitar and sang, liked shooting pool, traveling and riding his Harley. He was an avid amateur photographer. He had won third place for photography in the Dixie Classic Fair in Winston-Salem. He loved spending time with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor, loved the beach and life itself. He lived, he laughed, he loved.

Survivors include his wife, Gina Renee Sutton Scott of Yadkinville; children, Luke (Amanda Pearson) Scott and Christopher (Shawna Terrell) Scott; stepson, Dustin (Chelsie Lacey) Sutton; three brothers, Keith Scott, Kevin Scott and Kip Scott; two sisters, Bambi Romero and Jennifer (Joe) Ybarra; seven grandchildren, Ethan, Jonathan, Christian and Jayden Scott, Aubree Scott and Aidan and Cayanne Sutton; his stepfather, Dwayne Kirby; his stepmother Marie Bushamp Scott; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of service Saturday.
