SCOTTSBURG

Bonnie M. Gilbert, 87, of Scottsburg, passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at her residence.

Born Oct. 30, 1927, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Oren and Grace Killion Brewer, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 8, 1946, she married Raymond Lee Gilbert, who passed away Jan. 8, 1998.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church in Scottsburg. She lived most of her life in Scott County.

Survivors include a son, Raymond Lee (Vickie) Gilbert of Seymour; a daughter, Beth Ann Senatore of Scottsburg; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Scott Gilbert, who passed away April 24, 2004.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg. A graveside service will follow at Scottsburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
