Langley Jay Creech, 64, of Campbellsburg, passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at University of Louisville Hospital.

Born Sept. 5, 1951, in Gary, he was the son of Ernest Joe and Juanita Joy Hammons Creech, both of whom preceded him in death. On Oct. 18, 1996, he married Brenda K. Quire, who survives.

He was a member of Mount Hebron Church and a chimney-man and a union tradesmen with Laborers Union Local 375.

Other survivors include three sons, Chad Creech of Brownstown, Christopher Creech of Deputy and David Lyle of Jeffersonville; two daughters, Susan Lawson of Hanover and Megan Howard of Salem; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Elijah Creech of Seymour, Joseph Creech of North Vernon and Liberty Creech of Indianapolis; and two sisters, Reah Brumett of Tampico and Jasmine McCue of Palmyra.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandchild.

A celebration of life was conducted Saturday at Mount Hebron Church with Brother Rodney Sweeney officiating.

Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home, Salem, handled the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the family or American Cancer Society.
