William Lowell “Sonny” Soladine

William Lowell “Sonny” Soladine, 74, of Freetown, died at 7:07 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born June 3, 1941, in Brownstown Township in Jackson County, he was the son of Mancil “Billy” and Anne Mae Lambert Soladine, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married to Judy Weir Soladine, who preceded him in death on April 23, 2006.

He was a member of Freetown Church of Christ and had retired from Cummins Engine Co. in 1995 after 35 years of service. Sonny enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool. He was a member of the Coonhunters Club in Jackson County & Conservation.

Survivors include a daughter, Lori (Buddy) Sawyer; a stepdaughter, Mary Lou Taulbee; four sisters, Audrey Norman, JoAnn Leslie, Patricia Stout and Brenda (Larry) O’Sullivan; grandchildren, Megan (Ryan) Heilman and Zach Foster; stepgrandchildren, Toni Fields, Preston Gray, Garret Gray, Blake Sawyer, Brent Sawyer and Branden Sawyer; and great-grandchildren, Dalton Fields and Darien Fields.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Lee Soladine, and a stepdaughter, Garnet Gray.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with Mark Roberts officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday. Burial will be in Smallwood Cemetery.
