Because of overwhelming support from community donations, Friends of the Jackson County Public Library will conduct half-price Book Nook sales from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Friday this month at the Seymour Library.

Donations of gently used books are welcome to help stock upcoming quarterly sales and the ongoing sales at Seymour, Crothersville and Medora. Drop them off at any checkout desk during library hours.

Oktoberfest visitors can support Friends of the Jackson County Public Library by donating $5 for parking in the Seymour Library parking lot from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 2 and 3.

Anyone interested in becoming a Friend or renewing their membership will find forms at the sales, at the checkout desk or online at myjclibrary.org/Friends. Annual dues through December are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor and $50 for benefactor.

The next quarterly book sale is Nov. 7.
