BROWNSTOWN

Forest D. Cockerham, 88, of Brownstown, formerly of Vallonia, passed away at 4:24 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Hoosier Christian Village.

Born Feb. 23, 1927, in Brownstown, he was the son of Forest and Ethel Watts Cockerham, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was of the Baptist faith and had worked at the Vallonia Nursery from 1957 to 1989.

Survivors include a sister, Delores Whitmine of Ashville, North Carolina.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Mae Cockerham.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Zabel Funeral Home in Brownstown, with Pastor Scott Erwin officiating.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
