Flying Eagles to host airplane racing

The Southern Indiana Flying Eagles will conduct pylon racing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Field in Seymour.

The public is welcome to come and watch three or four radio-controlled airplanes racing at a time at 70 to 80 mph on a 400-foot course.

This event is sponsored by the Academy of Model Aeronautics and the National Miniature Pylon Racing Association.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The club’s flying field is in the 1200 block of North A Avenue off the Airport Road entrance to Freeman Field.
