NORTH VERNON
Willis Spears, 70, of North Vernon, died at 8:10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Spears of North Vernon; three sons, Clarence Spears, Willie Spears and Waylon (Jami) Spears, all of North Vernon; two daughters, Charlotte (Dennis) Gunter and Carrie (Brian) Ferguson, all of North Vernon; four brothers, Stanley (Rita) Spears of North Vernon, Lewis (Peggy) Spears and Tom (Wilma) Spears, both of Somerset, Kentucky, and Dale (Linda) Spears of Yosemite, Kentucky; four sisters, Freeda Wesley and Beulah (Lawrence) Denham, both of Cincinnati, and Stella Walker and Mary Lou Arnette, both of North Vernon; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Gil Hawkes officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.
