SEYMOUR
Pauline Bowman, 91, of Seymour, passed away at 12:45 a.m., Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.
Born March 30, 1924, in Seymour, she was the eldest daughter of Homer and Celia Schrader Carpenter, both of whom preceded her in death. On Nov. 28, 1946, she married Daryl J. Bowman who preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1991.
Pauline was a 63-year member of Reddington Christian Church. She worked at Gerwin Shoe Factory and Jay’s Market. She enjoyed playing euchre, gardening, traveling and interior decorating. She was very proficient as a seamstress and especially enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters, Diane Reynolds, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Jane Reed, Columbus; grandchildren, Meghan (Travis) Neeley, Bryan Reed, Lori (Billy) Mills and Allan Reynolds; and sisters, Imogene Campbell, Carolyn Mahoney, Edna Carpenter and Donna Bottorff.
Besides her parents husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dick Carpenter, and infant brother, Donald Carpenter.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Reddington Christian Church with the Rev. Charlie Aigner officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Voss Chapel and after 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be given to the Arthritis Foundation, the American Cancer Society, Reddington Christian Church or donor’s choice of charity.
