Scouts planning golf scramble fundraiser

Boy Scout Troop 529 will conduct a golf scramble Aug. 30 at Seymour Country Club with two sessions.

The first of the two sessions is from 9 a.m. to noon, and the second session will be from 1 to 4 p.m. The cost of the tickets are $50 each, with four people per team. The costs includes golf cart usage, nine holes of golf and lunch at noon.

The troop attends various camps throughout the year, and with this golf scramble, the hope is to offset some of the costs to help the boys and their families.
