Rabel “Ray” and Ruth Newkirk celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church fellowship hall in Seymour.

Rabel and the former Ruth Pottschmidt were married July 24, 1955, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brownstown.

The couple have two children, Karl (Cathy) Newkirk and Kurt (Dawna) Newkirk; and three grandchildren, Andrea, Emilee and Jacob Newkirk.
