Crothersville Community Schools will be the first in Jackson County to start the 2015-16 school year. The first day of classes for students is Aug. 4.

There will be a sixth-grade parent/student middle school orientation at 6 p.m. Thursday in the cafetorium. If a child is entering middle school, parents should plan to attend this important training and informational meeting, school officials said.
