The Jackson County Public Library Board of Trustees approved changes to the access to public records and purchasing policies when it met Monday at the Seymour Library.

Changes reflect new staff positions and better define allowable purchases.

The library board also approved an amendment to the Evergreen Indiana bylaws and an Oct. 31 after-hours teen lock-in.

The board’s budget committee will meet Tuesday to create a preliminary 2016 operating budget.

The board’s next regular meeting, including a public hearing on the Internet acceptable use policy, will be at 5 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Seymour Library.
