Officials with Trinity Lutheran High School received a $95,000 check July 15 from Trinity High Resale Shop volunteers.

This is the 12th gift the Seymour school has received from the shop during the past 10 years. The total amount the school has received since the resale shop opened for business in April 2005 is $628,000.

The resale shop at 601 W. Second St. in Seymour is a nonprofit subsidiary of Trinity that offers resale items. It is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday for resale and acceptance of donations. Each week, donated items are sorted by volunteer staff and displayed for sale.

The shop is staffed by volunteers with Shelby Pardieck and Lu Wolka serving as store managers. This past year, more than 40 volunteers gave of their time to help at the shop.

Wolka said more volunteers are always needed, and anyone interested in volunteering may stop by the shop for information.
