Beulah McFarland Kerkhoff, 94, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, at Wesley Manor.

Born Jan. 23, 1921, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of John Albert Clayton and Susie Rodman McFarland, both of whom preceded her in death. On Nov. 14, 1942, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, she married Gordon F. Kerkhoff, who preceded her in death Oct. 6, 2000.

Beulah was a graduate of Otterbein High School and later attended business college. She retired in 1984 as the postmaster at Frankton Post Office. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort, member and past officer of Indiana county homemakers groups, member and past president of her local postmaster association and past member of Clinton County Campers. She, along with her family, traveled extensively.

Survivors include three sons, Dr. Randall M. (Kathie) Kerkhoff of Indianapolis, Wayne (Nancy) Kerkhoff of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and Keith Kerkhoff of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a daughter, Joyce M. Kerkhoff of Miami, Florida; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles McFarland.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort, with Father Chris Miller will officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Amanda Reid Memorial Chapel at Wesley Manor in Frankfort with a rosary service at 3:30 p.m.

Entombment will be at Green Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum in Frankfort.

Memorials in Beulah’s name may be made to Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Manor or St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
