Richard D. “Ric” Tatlock, 49, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at his residence.

Ric had been employed at Meijer’s, working in customer service. He was most recently a softball umpire in the Anderson area. While a student at Ball State University, he worked as a disc jockey. For a brief time, he worked as a dispatch agent at the Anderson jail. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, WWE and anything sports-related. He loved to collect older memorabilia. He loved watching black-and-white movies and attending family reunions. He always loved children.

Born Aug. 8, 1965, in Jackson County, he was the son of Mel Tatlock of Greenfield and Dianne (Gary) Marcott Tatlock Henderson of Seymour.

Survivors include one daughter, Brittany Tatlock of Kentucky; one brother, David (Edith) Tatlock of North Las Vegas, Nevada; a half brother, Todd (Julie) Tatlock; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Race (Susie) Henderson, Monte (Anita) Henderson, Alanya Cunningham Henderson, Tiffany Chrysler, Kelly (Sonya) Henderson, Kim Kelley Gill and Dawn Kelley Cowan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elroy and Mary Marcott.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brownstown Nazarene Church.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church with Steve Silence officiating.

There will be a private family burial at Smallwood Cemetery following the funeral. There will be a celebration of life dinner conducted at the church after the burial.
