Medora Senior Citizen Center offers place to cool off

The Medora Senior Citizen Center will open as a comfort station to allow people to cool off when the air temperature is 90 or above this summer.

A green sign will be on the door if the comfort center is open.

The center, at 52 W. Main St., will be available from 1 to 6 p.m. each day when it is not being used for other purposes, and ice water will be available.

There will not be food, and the kitchen will not be available.

Shirts and shoes must be worn, and the center will not be open to serve as a babysitting service.

The center also is available for rent for events. The cost is $40 with the exception of funeral dinners when the center can be used for free.
