Richard D. “Ric” Tatlock, 49, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at his residence.

Born Aug. 8, 1965, in Jackson County, he was the son of Mel Tatlock of Greenfield and Diane (Gary) Marcott Tatlock Henderson of Seymour.

Ric had been employed at Meijer’s, working in customer service. He was currently a softball umpire in the Anderson area. While a student at Indiana University, he worked as a DJ. For a brief time he worked as a dispatch agent at the Anderson jail. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, WWE and anything sports related. He loved to collect older memorabilia. He loved watching black and white movies and attending family reunions. He always loved children.

Survivors include a daughter, Brittany Tatlock of Kentucky; brother, David (Edith) Tatlock of North Las Vegas; half brother, Todd (Julie) Tatlock; two stepsisters, Kim Kelley Gill and Dawn Kelley Cowan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elroy and Mary Marcott.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Brownstown Nazarene Church with Steve Silence officiating.

There will be a private family burial at Smallwood Cemetery following the funeral. There will be a celebration of life funeral dinner held at the Nazarene Church after the burial.

Visitation will be from noon until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
