Deadline nears for foundation’s grant proposals

The deadline for the Community Foundation of Jackson County’s grant proposals is fast approaching.

Each year, the foundation accepts grant proposals for projects and needs of Jackson County nonprofit agencies. These grants will be made from the foundation’s unrestricted and field of interest endowments and are available to nonprofit organizations serving Jackson County.

The proposals are due in the foundation’s office no later than close of business July 31.

Any nonprofit organizations desiring grant guidelines and a proposal form can contact foundation Vice President Sue Smith at 812-523-4483 or via email at [email protected]. Grant proposal forms also are available on the foundation’s website, cfjacksoncounty.org.

Grant proposals will be reviewed and organizations will be notified following approval at the foundation’s October meeting of the board of directors. In the fall of 2014, the foundation approved 20 grants totaling $32,536 through the fall grant cycle.

For information about how you can make a donation to any of the funds administered by the foundation or how to start a new fund, call 812-523-4483 or send an email to foundation President Dan Davis at [email protected].
