Abstract summer image focus of workshop

Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ Paint the Town social painting experience has partnered with Chateau de Pique Winery for a fun summer event at 2 p.m. Sunday.

You don’t have to have painting experience or talent to participate. The pattern will be provided, and arts center instructors Darnell Dukes and Stephanie Mysak will guide you through the steps to complete a piece of art.

“We chose this painting because it said summer to us,” Mysak said. “The abstract painting is a young lady wearing a wide-brimmed hat with flowers. It’s very colorful.”

This project will be on a 16-by-20-inch canvas.

The cost is $32.50. Arts center members receive a 20 percent discount. The cost includes all supplies and instruction.

The event will be at the winery at 6361 N. County Road 760E, Seymour.
