Indiana Department of Transportation officials will close lane sections on Interstate 65 between Uniontown and Scottsburg this coming week for concrete patching operations — beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday.

The closures include:

  • Northbound right lane between mile markers 33.0 and 37.5 from Sunday evening through mid-week
  • Southbound left lane between mile markers 32.5 and 29.0 from Sunday evening through mid-week
  • Northbound left lane between mile markers 29.0 and 32.5 from mid-week to noon Friday
  • Southbound right lane between mile markers 32.5 and 29.0 from mid-week to noon Friday
  • Southbound off ramp to eastbound State Road 56 and westbound State Road 56 on ramp to southbound I-65 from mid-week through mid-day Friday

Crews are currently making concrete corrections in transitional areas. Once finished, pavement markings will be placed and ancillary work will be completed.

John R. Jurgensen is the state’s prime contractor for this $54.7 million INDOT Seymour District project on I-65 between State Road 56 in Scott County and U.S. 50 in Jackson County. Over the past two years, Jurgensen and its subcontractors have rehabilitated 21 miles of I-65 pavement and refurbished 20 bridges between Seymour and Scottsburg.
