SCOTTSBURG

Mary A. McCleery, 92, of Scottsburg, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born in Lovington, Illinois, she was the daughter of Herman and Lona Taylor McMahon.

Mary was a homemaker, a member of Mount Eden Christian Church and a charter member of Mount Wilson American Legion 473 Auxiliary in Little York.

Survivors include a daughter, Sue Johnson of Columbus; two sisters, Pearl Ann Davis and Rosetta Loudermilk, both of Medora; two grandsons, Greg and Jeff Johnson; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John McCleery; two brothers, Marvin and Leon McMahon; and four sisters, Oleta Rumph, Alma McKinney, Thelma Thompson and Annabelle Pogue.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg with burial in Gater Cemetery in Washington County.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
