Football camps week slated in Brownstown

The Brownstown Central Football Camp Week will start Saturday.

There will be a kicking camp at the football stadium from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday for boys and girls grades 3 through 8. The Brownstown Central football team also will be participating at West Washington in a 7-on-7 lineman challenge at 9 a.m.

On July 13, the 56ers football equipment handout, fall registration and camp sign-up will take place at 4:30 on the high school game field. Middle school football equipment handout, registration and camp signups are at 5 p.m. at the middle school, and freshmen will have the same signups at 5 p.m. in the high school football locker room.

A “Football 101: Women’s Clinic” will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the football stadium on July 15. Admission is free.

The 56ers camp will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 16 and July 18 at the high school. Middle School camp will be at 5 and 7 p.m. on the same days.

On July 16 there will be a player organizational meeting at 7 p.m. in the high school football locker room.

Superstars Night will take place July 17, which will feature physical tests for the high school team; a 56ers punt, pass and kick competition; middle school scrimmage and awards ceremony.

There will be a community blood drive from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the football stadium in conjunction with the Superstars night. Appointments can be scheduled at donorpoint.org (sponsor code: D708)

A 7-on-7 lineman challenge will take place starting at 9 a.m. July 18 on the high school field.

The Dancing with the Stars fundraiser will be at 6 p.m. July 18 in the high school auditorium.
