Portions of I-65 to be closed next week

Lanes on Interstate 65 will be closed next week, beginning at 7 a.m. Monday.

Pavement repairs between mile markers 37.5 and 32.5 in Jackson and Scott counties mean the inside lanes (left lanes) — both northbound and southbound — will be closed. Restrictions will be lifted by noon Friday.

John R. Jurgensen is the state’s contractor for the $54.7 million Indiana Department of Transportation Seymour District project. About 21 miles of I-65 have been rehabilitated and 20 bridges have been refurbished between Seymour and Scottsburg over the past two years.

Pavement repairs and ancillary work between State Road 56 in Scott County and U.S. 50 in Jackson County are expected to continue into August.
