A four-month investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Seymour man on charges of possession of child pornography and child exploitation.

Kody T. Kamman, 26, was arrested after police searched his West Second Street residence Wednesday, according to a news release from Sgt. Jerry Goodin with the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg.

Troopers from the Versailles Post of the Indiana State Police and other members of the task force and the state’s Cyber Crime Unit executed a search warrant at the residence and reported finding files of child pornography recovered from digital media at the residence, Goodin said.

Possession of child pornography is a Level 6 felony, punishable by six months to 2½ years in prison. Child exploitation is a Level 5 felony, punishable by one to six years in prison.

Kamman was being held without bond Thursday at the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown. The investigation continues.
