Mary Louise Hackman, 93, of Reddington, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center. She had been living at Seymour Place.

Born Dec. 30, 1921, in Vallonia, she was the daughter of Lafe and Amelia Holle Schneider, both of whom preceded her in death. On April 6, 1946, Mary married Herbert G. Hackman, who preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1993.

She graduated from Vallonia High School in 1939 and Seymour Business College in 1941. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was involved with Ladies Aide 3 and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She also was a member of Jackson County Farm Bureau Inc.

Survivors include four nieces, Barbara (Eugene) Shoemaker of Vallonia, Annette (Hal) Driver of Columbus, Brenda (James) DeMotte of Jasper, and Pamela Houle of Clearwater, Florida.

Besides her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Wayne and Reginald Keith Hackman; and three brothers, Delbert, Edgar and Osmar (Bob) Schneider.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Phillip Bloch and the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 until time of service Friday.
