Brownstown graduate named Exchange Club Youth of the Year

Brittany Isaacs was named the 2015 Youth of the Year by the Brownstown Exchange Club at a recent meeting.

Isaacs, a recent graduate of Brownstown Central High School, received a $250 scholarship and will be the club’s representative for Female Youth of the Year at the Indiana State Exchange Conference this month.

Isaacs was a member of the National Honor Society, Booster Club and Spell Bowl Academic Team and was valedictorian of the Class of 2015. She has been Student VIP and Brave of the Month.

She also was a choir member, played piano and participated in the musical “Cinderella.”

She is a member of the youth group at Emanuel Lutheran Church, served as a volunteer middle school volleyball coach and was a volunteer at the Medora Goes Pink cancer awareness event each year.

She was named 2015 Distinguished Young Woman of Jackson County.

Isaacs, the daugher of Brad and Nickie Isaacs, plans to attend the University of Indianapolis, where she will work toward a doctorate in occupational therapy.

She also was the Brownstown Exchange Club’s February Youth of the Month. Others honored include Amanda Stuckwisch, October; Olivia Goecker, November; Hannah Hackman, December; Allison Persinger, January; and Sarah Adams, March.
