Seymour graduate named to all-conference squad

Seymour 2013 graduate and Marian University sophomore Logan Personett was named to the All-NAIA softball second team.

Personett was an All-Crossroads League First Team selection, was named to the NFCA NAIA All-Great Lakes Region First Team for the Knights.

Personett started 45 games in 2015 and finished the year ranked second on the team and in the league with a .482 batting average.

Personett also finished second in hits with 79 in 164 at-bats. She scored 60 runs, had 22 RBIs with seven doubles and a team-high five triples.

She finished the season with 27 multiple-hit games and had a streak of eight straight games with at least two hits.

Personett missed nine games due to injury during the league season.

The All-League First Team selection was the second of her career after she also earned Newcomer of the Year in 2014.

The Knights finished the 2015 campaign as the Crossroads League regular season champions with a 40-14 overall record and a 31-5 mark in league play.

Marian earned its second berth in the NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round in three seasons and head coach Scott Fleming was named the Crossroads League Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career.
