Middle school choirs set Brownstown concert

The Brownstown Central Middle School choirs will present their annual spring show at 7 p.m. May 21 in the high school auditorium.

Admission is free, and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The sixth-graders will sing “Rhythms of The World” and “You Can Sing You Can Dance.”

The seventh-graders will perform “There’s a Hero” with soloists Shaylee Hall-Monde, Cassidy Burnside, Rachel Adkins, Alexandra Williams and Haylee Gullion and “Hallelujah” from “Shrek.”

The eighth-graders will sing a musical medley from “Hairspray” and conclude the program with “For Good” and “I Believe I Can Fly” with soloists Ava Thompson, KaCee Collins, Kaelyn Johnson, Bailey Blake, Kiley Stidam, Claire Poulton, Aerial Morrow, Cheyenne Mott, Olivia Barlow, Katy Rohlfing, D.J. Casenas, Shona Drake, Journey Warner, Cherokee Scott, Maci Bell, Kaylea Overshiner, Lindsay Carr and Maddie Hauer.

The choirs will combine and perform “Cruisin for a Bruisin,” “Happy,” “What Time Is It,” Accidentally In Love” and “Best Day of My Life.”

The choirs are under the direction of Jan Willey, and Mark Meadows and Marcia Anderson are in charge of lights and sound.
