Ride to honor crash victim

Mikey’s Memorial Ride is set to begin at 11 a.m. May 16 at Trinity Lutheran High School, 7120 N. County Road 875E, Seymour.

It’s to honor Michael D. Healy, a 25-year-old Seymour man who died Feb. 17 after a motor vehicle accident. He was a 2007 graduate of Trinity.

Registration will be from 10 to 11 a.m., and kickstands will go up at 11 a.m.

The ride will go from Trinity to SuperATV in Madison to Salem and then ending at Celebrations, 357 Tanger Blvd. Suite 101, Seymour, with a dinner and celebration in honor of Healy.

The dinner is planned to start around 4:30 p.m., and bands will begin playing at 6 p.m. Scheduled to perform are Bobby Robbins of Young Country, Blind Ambition and Enos Road.

Cost is $30 per bike or $40 per couple and includes glasses, a T-shirt, dinner and entrance for live entertainment. Nonriders are welcome to meet at Trinity for the kickoff and at Celebrations following the ride, with a $15 entrance fee that includes dinner.

Proceeds will go toward the Michael Healy Endowment.
