Cougars girls win by half-point; boys place second
INDIANAPOLIS — The Trinity Lutheran girls track and field team edged Park Tudor by half a point to win at Lutheran High School on Tuesday.
Freshman Maddie Pearce got a blue ribbon for the Cougars in the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.30.
Senior Molly Crenshaw finished first in the 3,200 run in 15:11.75.
Trinity’s 3,200 relay team also finished first, with a time of 13:02.
Hailley Peters picked up a pair of second-place finishes in the long jump and high jump. The 400 relay time also finished second, with a time of 54.8.
On the boys side, the Cougars finished second with 97 points. Park Tudor won with 149 points.
The Cougars 400 relay team finished first, with a time of 48.48.
Seth Patterson finished in the long jump, with a leap of 17 feet 11 inches. He also got second in the 110 hurdles. Luke Onken got second in the 1,600 with a time of 4:49.
Nikolai Haak placed third in the 400 with a time of 55.95, and Keenan Scrifes finished third in the 100.
Senior Tommy Davis broke the Cougars’ school record in the shot put throwing 39-8 for a fifth place finish.
