St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Ladies Aid met April 2 in the meeting room at the Brownstown church. There was no March meeting due to the weather.

Pastor Jeff Patterson gave a Lenten devotion based on “But First, the Cross” by Rebekah Freed. The group closed by singing “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.”

Roll call was answered by 10 members.

Janet Myers reported on visits to the sick and shut-ins and nursing homes. Bertie Roettger reported on flowers for the altar and said several lilies had been donated for Easter Sunday. Bonnie Duffy gave a report on the communion dinner with several attending.

Joyce Stuckwisch reported on the spice sale, and Mildred Hallow gave her birthday gift to the Haiti mission.

Duffy was hostess for April and will visit the sick and shut-ins and nursing homes. Dorothy Christopher will be the May hostess and make the visits in May.

The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer.
