The first fish fry of the season to benefit the Joe Jackson Hotel restoration project will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Whistle Stop, 2379 S. Main St., Vallonia.

Fish dinners will be available for $6.50; sandwiches are $4.

Proceeds will benefit the restoration of the hotel at 2420 S. Main St. It was built in 1914 and is listed on the federal and state registers of historic places.

Fish fries are conducted on the second Saturday of each month during the warm-weather months.
