Fundraiser to help drowning victim’s family
A fundraiser Saturday and Sunday at Brownstown Park will help the family of a 38-year-old Medora man who drowned while ice fishing Feb. 20.
The Cole Cummings Memorial Brownstown Spring Classic includes 7U and 9U baseball games starting at 9 a.m. both days, a pitching machine, a silent auction and other activities for families. All proceeds will go to the Cummings family.
Cummings fell through the ice of a lake in the Medora area while fishing with a friend. He left behind a fiancée, Tausha LeQuire; four children, Deven and Lannah Cummings and Jacobi and Ashton Owens; and other family members.
Cummings coached summer league baseball, all-star baseball and his son’s basketball team.
