Marjorie B. Cooley, 91, Columbus, formerly of Seymour, died at 11:38 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born Jan. 19, 1924, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Harley Edwards and Dorothy Houshour Edwards, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Orval Cooley, and he proceeded her in death.

She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a homemaker. She loved to listen to music, gardening, flowers, cooking and spending time with her family and her dog, Rascal.

Survivors include four sons, Ronald (Becky) Cooley, Seymour, Darrell Cooley, Taylorsville, Donald Cooley, Indianapolis and Jerry (Linda) Cooley, Seymour; two daughters, Diana Wooldridge, Columbus and Janet Wilson, Seymour; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; five brothers, Floyd Edwards, Spraytown, Dean Edwards, Indianapolis, Jimmy Edwards, Freetown, Bobby Edwards, Seymour and Steve Edwards, Brownstown; and one sister, Evelyn Sims, Indianapolis.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zabel Funeral Home, Brownstown, with Pastor Eli Johnson officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday. Burial will be at Acme Cemetery.
