SEYMOUR

James D. Hess, 67, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, in Greenwood.

Born July 29, 1947, in Indianapolis, he was the son of James D. and Fannie Mae Davidson Hess, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wanda J. Cummings Hess; two sons, Stephen Lee Hess and James Darrin Hess; two daughters, Kimberly (Mark) Hess and Angela McKnight; brothers, Dennis (Ann) Hess and Bobby Dale Aynes; sisters, Pam (Bill) Gibson, Diane (Sly) Chaney, Gloria Hole and Betty (Bob) Sons; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Aynes, and two sisters, Herbretta Lillard and Linda Arnett.

As per his wish, James was cremated at Voss Funeral Services and Tri County Crematory.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Riverview Cemetery.
