Schneck Medical Center in Seymour lifted visitation restrictions on Sunday.

The restrictions were put in place in mid-December because of an increase in flu activity in the area.

Hospital staff will continue to monitor local flu activity, according to a news release.

Schneck also encourages visitors with flu symptoms to postpone visits until their symptoms have subsided. Those symptoms can include fever, cough, chills, sore throat, muscle aches, fatigue, headache, runny/stuffy nose, vomiting or diarrhea.
