The search of a woman being booked into the Jackson County Jail early Saturday led to her facing a Level 5 felony charge of trafficking with an inmate.

Jennifer L. Abner, 34, of Seymour was being booked into the jail at Brownstown on possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia charges when jailers found more methamphetamine concealed on her during the search process, according to a news release from Sgt. Clint Burcham.

Possession of methamphetamine is a Level 6 felony, while possession of paraphernalia is a Class A misdemeanor.

Abner was being held without bond Sunday pending her initial hearing.

Jail Officer Andrew Prajzner assisted with the investigation.
