Lutheran Women’s Missionary League of Immanuel Lutheran Church met Feb. 10 in the fellowship hall of the Seymour church.

President Jan Behrens called the meeting to order and led a Bible study titled “How Can I Control My Tongue?” taken from the LWML winter quarterly. Members participated in the study by reading Bible passages and singing hymns.

During the business meeting, secretary Sharon McAllister read several notes of thanks from those attending the December Christmas luncheon.

The treasurer’s report was read and approved.

A handout was distributed listing important dates to remember, including the Spring Workshop on April 11 at Lord of Life in North Vernon and the District Retreat on April 24 and 25 at Clifty Falls State Park.

Members were asked to consider being an officer in the coming year, as election of officers will be conducted at the next meeting April 14.

Behrens closed the meeting with a reading from “Inspiring Words from the Psalm.”

Hostess Joan Roth served refreshments.
