Winter storm warning in effect

A winter storm warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. today, the National Weather Service has reported.

A wintry mix of precipitation was expected to spread over central Indiana late Friday night, bringing snow and possibly sleet and ice along with periods of strong winds.

Today’s high is expected to reach 37.

The winter storm could bring four to six inches of snow to the area, leading to snow- and ice-covered roads and hazardous or impossible travel conditions.
