CROTHERSVILLE

Tonna Star Keith Runge, 67, a lifelong resident of Crothersville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born Oct. 18, 1947, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Willis L. Keith Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Perry Keith, who are both deceased. On June 7, 1974, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, she married David Runge of Crothersville, and he survives.

Tonna was feisty, spunky, independent, strong-willed, extremely hard-headed, very forward and direct and was always the life of the party. Tonna was a loving wife, sister, sister-in-law, and “great” aunt that will be missed dearly by her family that she loved so much.

Tonna was employed at H.O. Canfield Co. and Cummins Engine Co. She was a 1965 graduate of Crothersville High School where she would have celebrated her 50th reunion this year.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour and enjoyed painting, ceramics, crocheting, attending car shows, working in flowers and most of all spending time with her family.

Besides her loving husband, other survivors include two brothers, Willis L. “Bucky” (Charlotte) Keith Jr. and Marty J. Keith, all of Crothersville; one sister, Connie (Jack) Napier of Austin; four brothers-in-law, Richard Runge, Donald Runge, Ronald Runge and Dennis Runge; and two sisters-in-law, Janet Duggins and Pat Myers; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Robert Runge.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg officiating.

Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday.

Burial will be in Cana Cemetery in Jennings County, with a luncheon following the burial at Cana United Methodist Church.
