Brownstown police investigate robbery attempt


Brownstown Police Department is investigating a report of an attempted armed robbery reported early Friday morning at a house in the 1100 block of West Oak Street.

A 56-year-old woman told Brownstown Officer Steve Scarlett she was getting ready to leave her home for work when a male wearing a ski mask and carrying a handgun forced her back into her home.

The woman was not injured in the incident, and nothing was taken by the man, described as being 6-foot-tall and medium build, police said.
