Michael Donald Healy, 25, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, after a motor vehicle accident.

Born May 19, 1989, in Atlanta, Georgia, Micheal was the son of Mike and Patti Healy.

He attended Immanuel Lutheran School where he was involved in many sports and Trinity Lutheran High School where he was a 2007 graduate.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Michael was a personable young gentleman. His love of cars, motorcycles, and sports were all passions that made Michael a friend of everyone he met. His contagious smile and caring personality will always be remembered. Being an achiever and always ready to take on the next challenge, Michael attended the University of Northwestern Ohio where he attained dual degrees in high performance engineering and alternative fuels and business administration. He was able to complete his four-year degree in only three. Everyone that knew Mikey will miss him immensely, but will continue to live on with one of his favorite mottos, “Enjoy life at full speed.”

Michael is survived by his loving parents, Mike and Patti Shinkle Healy; his aunts, Pam (Jack) Keeney and Bonnie (David) Beronda; and his grandmother, Chris Shinkle.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Don Shinkle; and paternal grandparents, Joyce Healy and Joe Healy.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Currao officiating.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with a Voss dove release.

Memorials may be made to the athletic department at Trinity Lutheran High School.
