Southern Indiana Center for the Arts in Seymour recently announced the expansion of a couple of its programs.

Ballet instructor Carin Spalla will offer a basic skills ballet class from 7:15 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evenings for children ages 7 to 10.

The classes will run March through May at the center at 2001 N. Ewing St.

Cost is $40 per month with arts center members receiving a discount. Students must attend a minimum of three classes per month, and class size is limited.

The center also is adding evening preschool art classes for children 3 to 6 to accommodate children with dual working parents.

Beginning March 5, parents may choose one of three available sessions for their child: 10 to 11 a.m., 1 to 2 p.m. or 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Kay Fox will be leading this class. Cost is $15 per child, and parents are asked to stay with their child.
