Betty Nicholson Quinn, 88, of West Baden, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, at IU Health Paoli.

Born Aug. 4, 1926, in Dubois County, she was the daughter of Jasper and Sophia Ellen Walls Nicholson, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was a member of Nicholson Valley Church and was retired from Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center after 28 years of service. She was the owner of the Ceramic Gift Shop in West Baden Springs. She attended Northwood Institute and attained two associate degrees.

She had a love for gardening, traveling, reading, music, social gatherings, her large extended family and feeding wildlife.

Survivors include three sons, Tony (Donna) Quinn of French Lick, Chuck (Cheryl) Quinn of Huntingburg, and Brad (Pam) Quinn of Dubois; five daughters, Mary Ellen (Ronnie) Tarr of French Lick; Jackie (Bill) Sciarra of Seymour, Ruth Ann Allen of Jasper, Shannon (Phil) Wells of Santa Claus, and Cathy Quinn of French Lick; three brothers, Donald (Renelda) Nicholson Fleming of Florida, Clyde (Sue) Nicholson of Jasper, and Dean (Janet) Nicholson of French Lick; a sister, Linda (Randall) Roach of French Lick; 19 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Jack Necaise and Claude R. Quinn; a son, Phillip W. Necaise; a sister, Judy Waggoner; a brother, Floyd “Jake” Nicholson; a grandchild, Phillip Necaise; and a son-in-law, Alvin Allen.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, 9640 W. State Road 56, French Lick, with Albert Madden officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Wininger Cemetery.
